Next Up: Mt Rainier

Heading West to Seattle at the end of the month where I'll meet up with climbing partner Milos Chorvat for our most ambitious climb yet, Mt. Rainier. As the most glaciated mountain in the lower 48, its numerous crevasses, ice falls and avalanches should keep things interesting. The plan is to hike up the Muir Snowfield to Ingraham Flats at about 11K ft of elevation. There we'll rest up for a few hours, melt as much snow as we can for water, and around 1-2AM head out to traverse the Disapointment Cleaver route to the summit.
If all goes according to plan, we'll be live blogging from the summit at around 7:00AM on July 31, 2012.
